Philippians 1 Part 2: Worthy of the Gospel
“The gospel is the hook. The goodness of God, what God has done for us, is all you need. And if that’s not enough, that’s on you. Because the gospel is so good, we take God’s love for granted so much, that it doesn’t matter what gimmick or hook or anything in our flesh that we try to use. Jesus is the best preacher that ever lived. And the response of 5,000 people he fed loaves and fishes to one day, but the next he’s left with 12, tells me something. We don’t rely on gimmicks, we just preach the gospel and understand that a lot of people are going to walk away.”
