The Brooklyn Ministerial Fund is a city-wide, interdenominational effort to meet the needs of our community here in central Iowa. Funds raised for this ministry will go to providing meals, shelter, hygiene items, and other essentials to anyone who needs help. The fund is managed by the Grace UMC in Brooklyn. We’re proud of our town and this effort that unites local churches in serving together.
This year, we hosted a Pasta Party night where a freewill offering was taken to raise funds for this ministry. It was a fantastic night, check out the blog post to see how much money was raised!
If you’d like to give to the fund outside of an event, just share a donation to a local church earmarked Brooklyn Ministerial Fund. Questions may be directed to Grace UMC by calling 641-522-7754.
Brooklyn, Iowa, may be small, but we have lots of heart. Thank you for making a difference in our community!
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Matthew 25:35-36
