I Will: Knowing the God Who Reveals Himself

In this message from Exodus 5, Pastor Josh Gerard explores what happens when God’s people face increased pressure—and where they choose to turn. As Pharaoh elevates himself as a god and tightens his grip on the Israelites, the people appeal to human authority rather than crying out to the Lord. This moment reveals more than oppression; it exposes misplaced trust and the lingering presence of idols that keep God’s people from fully knowing Him.

Through Moses’ encounter with God, we are reminded that knowing about God is not the same as truly knowing Him. Just as God revealed Himself anew to Moses, He invites us to remove what competes for our devotion, pursue Him wholeheartedly, and come to know Him as the faithful “I Will.” This sermon encourages believers to seek God above all else and trust Him fully in seasons of pressure and uncertainty.
