Freedom: God’s Purpose in Delay | Genesis 40-41

What does it mean to be truly free? In Genesis 40–41, we see Joseph living in the shadow of prison walls, yet walking in the light of God’s presence. Though forgotten by people, Joseph is never forgotten by God. His story reminds us that freedom isn’t found in changing our circumstances, it’s found in knowing and trusting the One who never leaves us.

Even in confinement, Joseph carried God’s peace and pointed every success back to Him. Those extra years in waiting became the exact place where God positioned Joseph for purpose. This message reminds us that when we walk with God, no delay is wasted. Every moment is shaping us to know Him and make Him known.
